WHO WE ARE
Development of Health & Agriculture Rehabilitation Advancement (DHARA) is a women-led non-profit organization established on October 10, 2001, by a dedicated group of female social workers. We work through strategic partnerships to implement community interventions that are financially, technologically, and environmentally sustainable, directly contributing to long-term poverty reduction.

We Try
At DHARA, we try every day to make the impossible possible. We try to stand beside women who are silenced, children who are forgotten, and communities that are left behind. We try to listen deeply, act boldly, and work hand in hand with those we serve—because we believe real change happens when people lead their own development.
We Provide Care
At DHARA, care is at the heart of everything we do. We provide care that heals, protects, and empowers—whether it’s a mother receiving safe delivery services, a child learning to read for the first time, or a family rebuilding after a cyclone..
We Educate
At DHARA, we believe education is the key that unlocks opportunity and breaks the cycle of poverty. We educate children who have never been to school or drop out from school, giving them the tools to dream bigger and build brighter futures. We educate women and youth with practical skills that open doors to income, independence, and leadership.
We Build Homes
At DHARA, we believe that a safe home is the foundation for a stable and dignified life. We build homes that protect families from floods, cyclones, and other climate disasters—using designs that are affordable, durable, and resilient.
“We provide care that heals today and builds hope for tomorrow.”
We have numbers that push us to give in our best and make sure that we break our own records. We are happy to be growing and helping more day by day.
