Together, we can
WOMEN belong IN ALL PLACES WHERE DECISIONS ARE BEING MADE
Our Impact
For more than two decades, DHARA has been a driving force for change in some of Bangladesh’s most climate-vulnerable and underserved communities. Guided by our commitment to women-led development, we have reached thousands of women, children, and marginalized groups with programs that improve health, enhance livelihoods, and strengthen resilience.
Empowering Women & Girls: Over 80% of our direct beneficiaries are women, enabling them to lead community initiatives, access financial services, and claim their rights.
Healthcare Access: Through our Dr. Farnando Nobra Mother & Children Hospital and outreach services, thousands of mothers and children now receive life-saving healthcare, immunization, and nutrition support.
Education & Skills Development: Hundreds of children have gained literacy through our non-formal education programs, while women and youth have been equipped with practical skills for income generation.
Clean Water & Sanitation: Safe drinking water systems, eco-toilets, and hygiene education have transformed health outcomes in disaster-prone areas.
Climate Resilience: We have introduced saline- and flood-resistant crops, cyclone-resilient housing, and community-based disaster preparedness measures to protect livelihoods and lives.
Financial Inclusion: Through DHARA Microfinance Institution, we have provided affordable credit and savings opportunities to small farmers, women entrepreneurs, and informal workers—fueling sustainable economic independence.
Social Inclusion: We have worked closely with Dalit communities, persons with disabilities, and socially excluded groups to ensure they are included in decision-making and development benefits.

We Try
At DHARA, we try every day to make the impossible possible. We try to stand beside women who are silenced, children who are forgotten, and communities that are left behind. We try to listen deeply, act boldly, and work hand in hand with those we serve—because we believe real change happens when people lead their own development.
We Provide Care
At DHARA, care is at the heart of everything we do. We provide care that heals, protects, and empowers—whether it’s a mother receiving safe delivery services, a child learning to read for the first time, or a family rebuilding after a cyclone..
We Educate
At DHARA, we believe education is the key that unlocks opportunity and breaks the cycle of poverty. We educate children who have never been to school or drop out from school, giving them the tools to dream bigger and build brighter futures. We educate women and youth with practical skills that open doors to income, independence, and leadership.
We Build Homes
At DHARA, we believe that a safe home is the foundation for a stable and dignified life. We build homes that protect families from floods, cyclones, and other climate disasters—using designs that are affordable, durable, and resilient.
“We provide care that heals today and builds hope for tomorrow.”
We have numbers that push us to give in our best and make sure that we break our own records. We are happy to be growing and helping more day by day.
